Wine Festival visitors can test all their senses and wine knowledge at the VinAgora Interactive Wine Space. All you need is a phone and a little wine knowledge to play the game, which starts after scanning the QR code.
What is a splash? And what is a "tőtike"? What can the colour of the wine in the glass tell us? As well as developing their wine culture in a playful way, participants will also receive a small gift in at the VinAgora Interactive Wine Space tent, which will showcase the Wine Festival's professional activities.
Be sure to visit the VinAgora stand located in the Csikós Courtyard, and put your wine knowledge to the test—complete exciting new challenges to find out whether you're a "Beginner Taster," an "Advanced Wine Enthusiast," or a true "Wine Aficionado."

Mysterious Tools
Explore a display of vintage winemaking tools inside the tent and guess what each was used for. Can you match the tool to its name and function?
Wine Faults & Flaws
Use your sense of smell and intuition to detect common wine faults and diseases. Identify traits like cork taint, oxidation, mousiness, or sulfur-related off-notes. Learn to recognize the signs that a wine is flawed—or poorly made.
Guess the Price
Taste three or four unidentified wines and try to rank them from cheapest to most expensive. Without labels, branding, or packaging to help, it’s all about aroma, flavor, and color. How close is your sense of value to the real market price?
Aromas Challenge
Let your nose lead the way! At this station, the host presents three aroma samples. Select the correct scent from the given options—can you identify what’s in the vial?
Grape Variety Identification
Which variety typically gives off tropical fruit or gooseberry and grassy aromas? Which popular Hungarian red is known for its notes of paprika or green pepper? Take a guess—can you name the grape?
Cork Tower – Skill Challenge
This fun activity is all about dexterity and creativity. Build the tallest tower possible using corks within a limited time. It’s trickier than it looks—the corks roll and shift easily, so stability and quick thinking are key!
This year, VinAgora Wine Space will have even more new professional programme elements. Beside the interactive knowledge test a themed wine tasting session will be held by the Budapest Wine Festival's exhibiting winemakers. Interesting and exciting topics about a particular wine region and its producers will be explored in informal and relaxed discussions.
