Tickets purchased in advance can be redeemed at the cashier's booths located at the festival's entrances.
We do not charge any transaction fee for purchasing tickets through our online system.

The Explorer ticket is perfect for visitors who come to the Budapest Wine Festival to discover great wines. The afternoon hours, before the evening crowds arrive, are ideal for tasting at a relaxed pace, exploring new wineries, meeting winemakers and enjoying conversations about wine.
With the Explorer ticket, you can enter the festival for 50% of the on-site daily ticket price. Simply make sure you arrive before 5:00 PM. Once you've entered, you're welcome to stay until closing. However, if you leave the festival after entering, re-entry with the same wristband is not permitted.

Please note:
The Culinaris Party VIP add-on wristband is valid only in combination with a valid Budapest Wine Festival Daily Ticket, Explorer Ticket, or 4-Day Pass for the same day.
Pre-purchased add-on tickets can be exchanged for VIP wristbands at the Guest Welcome Desk or at the VIP entrance on the day of use.

Please note that the daily ticket is for a specific day and only entitles you to enter the day on the ticket. It is not possible to rebook for another day. (However, unused daily tickets for Thursday, Friday and Saturday can also be redeemed on Sunday.)
Besides the information given above for the different ticket types, it is important to know that tickets include one tasting glass. In case of damage or loss, you can purchase a new one at the Main Information point in the Hunyadi courtyard. Tickets do not include free tasting, you have to pay for wine and food at exhibitors' stands but you can enjoy all professional and other programs for free!
Transaction fee
We do not charge any transaction fee on purchases carried out through our online ticketing system.
Validating your e-ticket
Electronic daily tickets and four-day passes can be validated at the festival entrances in the cashier booths marked 'Pre-Paid Tickets'. You can either present the QR code on paper or on the screen of your smart device. It is not possible to redeem tickets already purchased or to convert day tickets to another day.
'SZÉP' cafeteria cards
Tickets cannot be purchased by 'SZÉP' cafeteria cards, neither online nor on the spot. Thank you for your understanding!
Wristband for children
Entry is free for children under the age of 14. Ask for a free wristband for your child at the cashiers. Write the name of your child and your phone number on the wristband to ensure that your loved one is found quickly in case of getting lost in the crowd.

Can I rebook my already purchased ticket for a specific day for another day?
Can I redeem my ticket?
This is not possible after the purchase, but tickets can be freely transferred to anyone. If the event is canceled for any reason, we will notify you by email about the options for pre-paid tickets.
I change my glass back?
The crystal tasting glass cannot be redeemed.
What does the ticket include?
In addition to the information on the ticketing site, please note that tickets come with one tasting glass. If the glass is lost or damaged, a new one can be purchased at the Central Information stand. The ticket also includes a free tasting at the VinAgora selection booth and a glass-holder bag as well. Additional drinks and food must be paid for at the exhibitors, however, you can enjoy all concerts, professional and other programs for free!
Do you charge a treatment fee?
In case of online ticket purchase through our own system, no handling fee will be charged.
What can I do if I break my glass?
You can buy a new glass in the central information booth.
Can only that person enter the festival, whose name is on the ticket?
No, anyone presenting the tickets can enter, so they are freely transferable. The first person to scan the QR code on the tickets at the ticket office will enter the event, so please make sure that the code does not accidentally fall into the hands of others. We cannot admit anyone to the festival with an already invalidated QR code!
Is it possible that tickets get sold out for a given day?
In theory, yes, we sell a fixed number of tickets for each day. This year, however, the festival will again be held in a large area, so the chances are small in practice. In case of very high demand, it might happen on Friday or Saturday, the two most visited days. We suggest to either buy tickets in advance for these days or arrive at the venue on time.
