Since its establishment, the Hungarian Wine Academy has championed the promotion of a cultured wine-drinking tradition. In this spirit, for many years it has sought to be present at every event where it can connect with consumers who view wine as more than just a drink. These consumers recognize its cultural value, its role in science and art, and its significance as a key symbol of our national identity.
In line with this philosophy, this year we are placing special emphasis on our presentations, which focus on two key topics: the principles of cultured wine consumption and the relationship between wine and health—highlighting how quality wine appreciation can become an integral part of a health-conscious and balanced lifestyle.
Unfortunately, recent years have not been favorable to the growth of domestic wine consumption. The culinary habits of the younger generation—of which wine should naturally be a part—have shifted in a different direction. It is our mission to change this: through professional insights and culinary evidence, we aim to restore the prestige and recognition that Hungarian wines deserve. While Hungary is currently not classified among the global wine superpowers, it possesses a rich viticultural history and exceptional wine specialties.
Our presentation at this year's festival encompasses all of this. Over the four days of the event, the stand of the Hungarian Wine Academy will host the Winemakers of the Year alongside their invited guests, as well as the Junibor Association. Here, the present and future generations meet, united by their humility and dedication to Hungarian wine.
At our stand, visitors will have the opportunity to meet leading figures of the profession and renowned winemakers. It is a wonderful occasion for casual conversations, talking shop, and gaining firsthand insight into their inspiring career paths, dedication, and invaluable experience.
