As a committed believer in the magnum effect, Kreinbacher sparkling wines Extra Dry 2018, Brut Classic 2018 and Rosé Brut 2019 will be available for tasting by the glass, as well as Prestige Brut 2018 Magnum. Everyone is encouraged to taste their classic 0.75 litre bottles with their magnum counterparts to experience first-hand what a larger bottle adds to the evolution of a sparkling wine.
They are also preparing for a real premiere, as the first vintage of ÉGOÏSTE, the prestige cuvée of the Kreinbacher portfolio, will be presented at the 32nd Budapest Wine Festival. Blended from only the finest vintages and blended with selected base wines, this sparkling wine, aged for a much longer period than the base batch, stands out from the nonvintage sparkling wines in terms of complexity and sophistication. And what does ÉGOÏSTE stand for? We'll find out on the spot!
In addition to sparkling wines, they will of course also bring their wines from organically cultivated vineyards, from classic Somló varieties, but still in a modern style. Their varietal wines will include the light and airy Tramini from 2022, the popular Juhfark from 2021, the deep Hárslevelű Selection from the 2019 vintage, and the Furmint Selection from 2020, along with two cuvées, the Old Dark Blue Wine and the Kőkonyha, which returns after more than a decade.
As for Champagnes, 20 lots will be poured, including several magnums from the PAUL BARA and PIPER-HEIDSIECK portfolios, and the big hit will be the opening and pouring of the POL ROGER Brut Réserve Mathusalem 6 litre bottles, after the stunning success of last year.
The Kreinbacher stand is constantly crowded year after year, and this year, to make the Lion's Court a truly relaxing venue, a special ÉGOÏSTE Lounge will be set up where you can enjoy a wide selection of champagnes in comfort, and DJs (DJ André, Maxim Kuznyecov, Mr. Cloud) will provide a varied programme of music from 8pm to midnight from Thursday to Saturday.
