The Budapest Wine Festival has once again set up its popular interactive tent, where you can test your skills as a wine expert. Observe, smell, taste, engage all your senses, collect points and find out if you’re a "rookie wine taster", an "advanced wine consumer" or a "wine enthusiast"!

Visit the VinAgora & Kóstolom Interactive Space in the Csikós courtyard and complete the following quizzes:

Wine quiz: guessing the name of the tools in the previous step wasn't enough, now the question is, what are they used for? Don't worry, we've given you 3 possible options, you just have to choose the right one.

Aromas: at the next stage, you’ll be using your nose. You will be shown three aroma samples and then you have to choose from the given options which aroma is in the vial.

Variety identification: did you know that all grape varieties have their own unique characteristics, making them easier to identify? Do you know which variety has tropical fruity, gooseberry-like, freshly cut grass aromas? Or which red wine variety, also popular in Hungary, is said to have smoked paprika and green pepper like aromas? Challenge yourself, have a sip and guess which variety you’ve got!

Judging Wines: judge your wine like a real expert! Based on the same scoring system used in the VinAgora International Wine Competition, we've created a scoring sheet for You to score one of this year's winning wines. Once you’re done, you can compare your results with the score given by the judges of the competition and find out how much you know about wines.
